Non-stick surfaces that are made of Teflon are easier to clean and more useful, so less oil is used when cooking, and as a result, it is considered a healthier way to cook food.

Teflon has other uses. It is also used for covering wire and cable, carpet protection, fabric and waterproof fabrics such as raincoat.

A lot of research has been done about the health of non-stick cookware in the last decade. Most of the concerns were about the use of the chemical “perfluorooctanoic acid”, which was previously used in the manufacture of these containers. Other research has been done in this field, which shows that there is a direct relationship between the heating of Teflon and the release of toxic chemicals.

Non-stick dishes are made with materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which is commonly called Teflon. Since the last decade, a lot of research has been done about the harmlessness or harm of non-stick dishes.
